The men’s 10,000m race unfolded during a momentous day for Indian sports at the Asian Games. In a different arena, the Indian badminton men’s team made history by defeating the Korean Republic in the semi-finals of the team event. The 3-2 victory over Korea was sealed by Kidambi Srikkanth, who emerged as the hero in the deciding match, further elevating India’s presence at the games.

Simultaneously, the Indian hockey team displayed a dominating performance by achieving a historic 10-0 victory against arch-rivals Pakistan. This resounding win marked the largest margin of victory between the two sides in the history of the sport.
