India A defeated Bangladesh A in the semi-final match of the ACC Men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2023. India A will now face Pakistan A in the final.
India A set a target of 212 runs while batting first in the semi-final match. Yash Dhull led the team with his captain’s innings, scoring 66 runs off 85 balls, including six boundaries. Abhishek Sharma contributed 34 runs off 63 balls, including two boundaries and a six, while Sai Sudarshan scored 21 runs off 24 balls, including three boundaries. Nishant Singh Shekhawat took five wickets for India A.
In response, Bangladesh A could only manage a score of 160 runs before being bowled out. Tanjim Hasan Sakib top-scored for Bangladesh A with 51 runs off 56 balls, including eight boundaries. Mohammad Naim contributed 38 runs, while captain Saif Hassan scored 22 runs and Hasan Joy added 20 runs. None of the other Bangladeshi players made a significant contribution.
India A will now face Pakistan A in the final, who defeated Sri Lanka A in their semi-final match by 60 runs. The final promises to be an exciting encounter, with both teams vying for the championship title.
Apart from Nishant Singh Shekhawat’s five-wicket haul, Manav Suthar took three wickets for 32 runs in 8.2 overs, while Abhishek Sharma and Yuvraj Singh Dodia took one wicket each for India A.
